Transforming the 1973 Porsche 911T Into an RSR Hybrid Clone

Steve Byers at Porsche Bend gives us a deeper dive into our 1973 Porsche 911T RSR Tribute for the 2025 Porsche Classic Restoration Personalization category. Originally an ex-race car, we’re transforming it into an RSR hybrid clone—capturing the aggressive RSR look while adding modern upgrades for drivability. Powering it will be a 2.8 high-compression motor, built with a new Porsche 2.7 case and components from the original 2.4 engine, along with electronic fuel injection. Stay tuned as we bring it to life!
